Rita Clare (Soprano/Alto)

A midwife at the Royal United Hospital in Bath, Rita lives with her husband, Peter, in Colerne. For may years she was the leading soprano with Chepstow Operatic Society. Then, on moving to Bath, she joined the Bath Light Operatic Group where she had the leading roles in "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers" and "Hello Dolly" together with many others. |
During her studies with Margaret McLeod in Bath, she became a prize-winner in The Mid-Somerset, Bristol, and Cheltenham Music festivals, culminating in the coveted Rose Bowl award for Opera.
Rita is invited to sing by many societies in the West of England and is a member of St Stephen's choir. She is a founder member of Encore and takes charge of all the bookings.
