Peter Clare (Tenor)

Now a National British Judo coach, Peter joined Bath Light Operatic Group when he was 16 and was their leading tenor for many years until his singing teacher suggested he turn professional. He auditioned for the famous "Black and White Minstrel Show" in 1971, was accepted and stayed for seven years as one of their leading tenors. |
He then toured Britain for 4 years with John Hanson in Musicals, (Glamorous Night, The Student Prince, Lilac Time, The Desert Song).
During his career on the professional stage he appeared in numerous pantomimes with Leslie Crowther, the Hi-De-Hi team, Terry Scott, Bernard Breslaw, Jimmy Logan and summer seasons with Cilla Black, Harry Secombe, Des O'Connor and Tom O'Connor. His many TV appearances include..... Robin Hood, Dr Who, Casualty, Barchester Chronicles and The Box of Delights to name but a few. Peter now enjoys singing with St Stephen's choir and of course Encore.
